Mr. Kandhasamy Vadivelu Pillai, Founder and Managing Director of Roophakavi Power Private Limited, brings a journey of entrepreneurship, determination and business experience that has shaped the company's growth into the renewable energy sector.
Mr. Kandhasamy Vadivelu Pillai began his professional career as a salaried employee in 1991. With determination and an entrepreneurial vision, he took the step from employee to employer by establishing his first proprietorship firm in 2000.
During the early 2010s, he was involved in delivering digitised medical transcription and billing-coding projects for Focus, an American online health solutions company. This experience contributed to the foundation for the company's next phase of growth.
In 2013, Mr. Pillai established the green-energy division RPPL Solar as a limited concern, marking a significant new direction in the company's journey.
Under his leadership, Roophakavi Power Private Limited has developed its capabilities in Solar EPC, supporting projects from design and engineering through installation, pre-commissioning and project completion.
The company has successfully executed more than 168 MW of EPC works for various clients, including Adani Power, Greenko Energy and Siemens Gamesa, across Tamil Nadu and other locations.
Mr. Pillai's journey reflects a commitment to building businesses with a long-term perspective. Today, his focus is on strengthening RPPL's capabilities in solar project execution and supporting the development of sustainable energy projects.
Through Solar EPC, project development and land procurement capabilities, RPPL continues to contribute to the growth of renewable energy while building lasting relationships with customers, project partners and investors.
