Roophakavi Power Private Limited is built on a journey of determination, entrepreneurship and a clear vision for the future. What began with a single entrepreneurial step has evolved into a growing presence in India's renewable energy sector.

1991

The Beginning

The Journey Begins

Our Founder and Managing Director, Mr. Kandhasamy Vadivelu Pillai, began his professional career as a salaried employee in 1991.

With determination and an entrepreneurial vision, he continued to build the experience and foundation that would eventually lead to establishing his own business.

2000

Entrepreneurship

From Employee to Employer

In 2000, Mr. Kandhasamy Vadivelu Pillai took an important step in his entrepreneurial journey by establishing his first proprietorship firm.

This marked the beginning of a new chapter, driven by independence, business ownership and a determination to create long-term opportunities.

2010s

Expanding Experience

Building Technology & Business Experience

During the early 2010s, Mr. Pillai played a key role in delivering digitised medical transcription and billing-coding projects for Focus, an American online health solutions company.

This experience contributed to the foundation for the company's next phase of growth and helped shape the journey towards renewable energy.

2013

A New Direction

Entering the Solar Energy Sector

In 2013, the company established its green-energy division, RPPL Solar, as a limited concern.

This marked a significant turning point in the company's journey and established its focus on solar power projects across Tamil Nadu and neighbouring states.

Building a Strong Solar EPC Capability

Today, Roophakavi Power Private Limited specialises in Solar EPC projects, providing capabilities across design, engineering, civil works, mounting structures, electrical works, installation and project implementation.

The company has successfully executed more than 168 MW of EPC works for various clients, including Adani Power, Greenko Energy and Siemens Gamesa, across Tamil Nadu and other locations.

Alongside Solar EPC, RPPL also supports solar project development through land procurement and the facilitation of necessary permissions for suitable solar projects.
